Job Summary

As a Senior Manager in the Transportation & Logistics practice, you'll work closely with industry experts, playing a pivotal role in shaping and enabling national transformation programs. The focus is on enhancing national infrastructure, intra and interconnectivity, service and safety levels, and attracting foreign direct investments.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, you'll bring experience in ports, maritime, land transport, logistics, rail, and metro within a consulting or strategy firm. Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and delivering consulting assignments predominantly within the land transport sector.
  • Performing hypothesis-driven thinking, guiding team analyses, and ensuring the credibility of approaches and conclusions.
  • Reviewing team work to ensure high-quality output aligned with the client's expectations.
  • Engaging with clients to align on work plans and recommendations.
  • Ensuring smooth project deliverables handover and effectively closing out consulting assignments.
  • Building strong, trusted advisor relationships with clients and contributing to follow-on work.
  • Leading proposal drafting and marketing efforts, converting pipelines into secured mandates.
  • Staying up-to-date on the land transport industry in the region, including government agendas and industry trends.
  • Developing and maintaining intellectual capital, publishing thought leadership, and enhancing the brand.
  • Providing guidance and coaching to team members, fostering a high-performance team environment.
  • Mentoring other team members formally and informally.
  • Managing internal requirements for quality, compliance, policies, procedures, and systems.

  • Experience in strategic planning, operational improvement, data analytics, and operational transformation.
  • Demonstrated progression and advancement into positions of greater responsibility.
  • Ability to impact top and/or bottom-line financial results.
  • Team-oriented with success in delivering results and leading teams.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Key areas of expertise include strategy development, corporate governance, and operating models.

Educational Qualifications & Certifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university with a consistent outstanding academic record; an advanced degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Years of Experience: 8-12 years of professional work experience, with 4-6 years in consulting with a leading global consulting firm, and a proven portfolio of projects in the rail and roads sector, preferably in the Middle East.
  • Experience in Transport and Logistics Industries (Maritime & Ports / Railways and Railroads / Aviation or Airports).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a confident presence.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the Middle East.
